There is nothing like a great parade. The Darien Cornfest’s annual Sunday Parade was no exception [thanks to Pattie and her Posse]. The awesome parade of Fire and Service vehicles [and crews] were enjoyed by all. So much that they get their own gallery. Check it out.

9-11 Tribute
To honor the ten year anneversary of 9-11 we will be having a tribute at the Fire Station. We will be retiring the American Flag with a Flag Ceremony. There will be a special treat of hearing Michael Claridge perform his new song “We the People” – Local Fox channel 6 will be there to record the event, look out for it.
Darien CornFest presents 9/11 Flag Ceremony
The Darien Cornfest is honored to invite you to 9/11 Flag Ceremony in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This will take place at the Darien Fire station at 12 noon on Sunday September 11, 2011. There will be a color guard consisting of Firemen, American Legion members, Rescue members, the Police Chief, and representatives of the Boy Scouts and the Cub Scouts.
The Janesville Fife and Drum will be playing in honor of 9/11, and Delavan Fire Chief will be ringing the fire bell. Vocalist Michael Claridge will be singing his new patriotic release “We the People [Click here to listen].
We hope to see many Firemen, Legion members, VFW member, Rescue members, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts there in their uniforms.
We hope to see you there to help us honor all of the fallen heroes.
All activities will be stopped from 12 noon until 12:15 for this ceremony.
