No Pets Please

We know you love them.
But please leave your pets home.
They probably don’t like corn anyway.
Let’s be courteous to all our Cornfest friends.
Thank you.

Darien Cornfest is proud to introduce this year’s Parade Marshals: Jim and Connie Hansen!

We’re honored to recognize Jim and Connie Hansen for their deep commitment to our community and the incredible legacy they’ve built right here in Darien.

Married for 36 years and residents of Darien for 30 of those, the Hansens are true pillars of our town. Connie, a proud Darien native, grew up here, attended Darien Elementary, and graduated from DDHS. Jim made Darien home in 1981 after serving in the U.S. Navy and returning with Connie to raise their family.

Together, they’ve raised three wonderful children—Merle (Oscar), Hillary (Grant), and Stella (Ty)—and are the proud grandparents of Connor, Hank, and one more grandbaby on the way!

Connie has worked at The Duck Inn since 2013 and has been a familiar, friendly face to many. She’s also dedicated time volunteering at local schools during her children’s education.

Jim brings an incredible legacy of public service: 35 years with the Delavan Police Department, currently serving as Chief of Police. He’s also served 10 years on the Darien Village Board, 13 years on the Delavan-Darien School Board, and over three decades with Walworth County Fair Security. He’s been an integral part of Darien Cornfest’s security operations and has played a vital role in keeping our community events safe and welcoming.

Beyond their community involvement, Jim and Connie share a love for travel and spending quality time with their growing family.

Thank you, Jim and Connie Hansen, for your unwavering dedication to Darien. We’re proud to celebrate you as this year’s Parade Marshals!

CornFest Swag

Darien Corn Fest is showing off our new items for this year’s festival. Pretty cool items. Here’s some photos of the t shirts, hoodie sweatshirt and can koozie.

T shirts are $25
Sweatshirts are $45
Can Koozie are $4

We do not ship them, so you better come and get them Corn Fest weekend!  See ya soon.

CornFest has a New Sign!

Corn Fest has a new sign that replaced our old sign in the Village of Darien on Hwy 14, close to West Park (the fest grounds)!

It’s made out of a composite like material and Tim, the owner of the Wooden Sign Company in Elkhorn, WI. made it. It has a 3D effect the corn kernels are carved out!

Exciting News!

Darien Corn Fest is thrilled to announce that The WeakEnd Antique Pullers have been added to this year’s schedule of events!

Come enjoy the roar of vintage horsepower and a full lineup of fun, food, and family entertainment. You won’t want to miss it!

It all starts at Sunday, September 7th @ 9 am

Enjoy Our Main Attractions

Come See the Parade

The Cornfest Parade is the premier event of the weekend. People come from miles around to see the great parade. Floats and bands and tractors and horses and some much much more. Load the family into the car, and do not forget to bring some folding lawn chairs as you do not want to miss a minute of the Parade. See you there.

Let’s Play Volleyball

Sun and sand and a net. Nothing better than getting your team together for the exciting Cornfest Volleyball Tournament. Co-ed 6 teams is the rule of day. Bring your attackers, your beddies and your redwoods. It’s game on at Cornfest.

Come See the Tri-County Pullers

It’s definitely time for ear-rattlin’, ground-pounding excitement and the Tri-Couty Pullers fire up their massive engines and put the pedal down on the big dirt track. If you’ve never been to an event like this, now is the time to check out the Big Guys of mid-western puller circuit. You won’t be disappointed. And bring some ear protection, you’re gonna need it.

Come Play Some Softball

Put me in coach, I’m ready to play. The Cornfest Softball Tournament pulls in great teams from across the Mid-west to compete in this exciting two-day event. Whether you are a player, a spectator or just a fan, bring your posse and cheer on your favorite team. Great fun for the whole family.
